2 stroke carb on a 4 stroke

I'm sure Lozza answered this one before, but buggered if I can find it.............. 
I've got a rather nice 34mm round slide Mikuni off a KDX175 and I'd like to use it on my SP370 to replace the rather shoddy 32mm that on there.
Can anyone offer advice on what I need to do and perhaps even where to start with jetting?

I think it was on the old forum, big difference is with the emulsion tube 2T's have one big hole and 4T's have many tiny holes. Sometimes it's necessary to have the air corrector completely blocked.There is no need for the needle shroud on a 4T engine either.The 370 manual will give an idea where to start.

i have a round slide 38 mm on my tt500 but it runs methenol so it to ha 1 big round hole for fuel to run through.

Tony I've searched high and low but can't find the carburator article I want.

The main point was that to get a round slide Mikuni to work on a fourstroke you need to use a 159 series needle jet.

The rest is "educated guesses" or just good old trial and error. Hopefully someone has done this and can help.

I made a rough mixture guage out of an old Toyota oxygen sensor and an after market air/fuel guage. it will probably work when I can stop the oil getting into the wrong parts of the motor. it's too oily and smokey for the oxy sensor.
