Also , seeing as they are not name brand they would probably go under $100 us . I actually thought nylons didn't come out until about 1980??
It would be of interest to me knowing when nylons hit the scene.

Mid-70s, but the pattern on those pants represents early 80s. And the jersey resembles nothing I've ever seen on a Suzuki pilot then or since.... ???
Nostalgia's not what it used to be....

I'm pretty sure nylons actually came out in America in the mid 70's and Griffs was an early brand that was gone from the market by the early 80s. I bought a pair of Hallman nylons back from the USA in ' late 76 for a mate but he wasn't allowed to race in them because MA (actually the ACU then) had banned Nylons for being a fire risk believe it or not! He used them on club days and Menai "racing" and has still got them, all white with a leather arse /crotch area. I reckon they'd be a collectors item now.

Thats right! That is why i didnt really see them as they were banned due to a fire risk as far as the ACU was concerned. Thanks for the memory jog.
I thought they would go into the $90's.
I'm surprised the jersey sold at all.
Watch the JT stuff go from the 80's. Big bucks!

Talking about this seller as we are battling with him at the moment to get a realistic freight costing as he quoted me $224 to send the pants so far got him down to US$50 but he won't amend the ebay invoice at this stage he is prefering to send an invoice through paypal. I have instructed the gentleman to go to the postoffice get a padded bag then get the price then contact me with the exact costing as he kindly states he does not wish to make money out of the postage?? he would like me to pay the full price of $449 then he will refund me the balance left after postage as yet we are waiting to see how this plays out.  :-\

Cyclone,
Congratulation on getting the pants, nice pants too. 8)
Hope to catch sight one day of them being used in our great VMX events somewhere.
I have got seller down to $40 for freight so far for PJ jersey, got till winter so no rush.  ;)  ;D

I've upset the seller that much over the postage issue, he wants nothing to do with the whole deal now. :-X
