GT80 barrel and head sand blasted?

Hi guys doing up my GT80 and wondering if i get the barrel and head sand blasted will it possibly do any damage to fins or bore dont think it will but dont want to do it and then have something break thanks Michael. :)

yeah i thought it should be right but dont want to damage bore but if its all right on other size barrels should be fine on a smaller one thanks Michael. :)

no, but mask off the bore just to be safe, especially if your sand blasting which is more aggressive than bead blasting. i use a special Nashua?? brand duct tape. its very expensive but its what the professional sandblasters use and they say its the only tape that doesnt blow off or get effected by the jet of sand. for beadblasting i sometimes stuff the bore with newspaper and block off top and bottom with normal duct tape. if your going to rebore it anyway it wont really matter if you get some of the bore blasted from overspray

yeah ill do something like shove a rag up it it is getting a rebore so it shoad be right thanks for your advice Michael.
