Just looking for some parts and happened to come across this on the MA site.

Ducati RT 450
Gemini 175 trail
Greeves All models
Honda CR125M, CR250M, XL250 K0, XL350 K0,K1, all SL100, all
SL125, all SL350, all XL100 K0, MT250.
Hodaka All 100 & 125 models
Husqvarna Up to & incl. Magnesium engine reed valve 250 & others. Pre
Mikkola replica - no radial finned engines.
Harley Davidson All SX125, SX250, SX175 trail

KTM Up to & incl. 74GS & MC125, 175, 250. Check date stamp on

So does that make a 250K1 a non-starter for pre 75?

Its a starter , K1 is pre 75 ,meaning before 31st December 1974.
The MA 2009 book reads a bit different(more bike info)page 160, point 18.7.5
cheers WA

Yeah, that's what I thought??
Guess they can't rattle off every bike made..... But they mention both K0 and K1 for XL350, but only XL250 K0.  :-\
Starting to wonder if I was expending a lot of time and effort for nut'n.

I believe you need the engine & frame number and get on a Honda website to find what is what, that should help you.
Yes go for it, 8)  its worth the effort ;D
I'm totally pre 75 addicted though  :P

If it has a side intake port {which yours should have} its in no problem OK. Tim 754
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Thanks for that! I took the numbers down to the local dealer just after I got it and it's definitely a '74 K1.
Didn't want to find myself on the podium at the nationals and get kicked out on a rule breach.  ;D
