DT1F find.

Here's the newest addition to the Firko Collection. My old friend from ADB Wazza Jack found this for me on an enduo forum. I contacted the owner in Willowbank, paid him the asked for $200 and Dave Tanner kindly picked it up for me and is storing it in his luxurious Gold Coast temperature controlled workshop. I realise I paid top dollar but it's fitted with a genuine Bassani pipe and Goki air caps and apparently the engine runs (or ran). I'll be using the engine and odd bits and pieces in my Metisse and 'DT1 from Hell' rebuild projects and will donate the remainder to a worthy project. Don't smother me with requests right now. Wait until I pick it up and remove the bits I need. I'm heading up to the Gold Coast on Friday with Jonesy to pick up our American import stuff and check out the Indy Car race so I'll throw it on the trailer with the good stuff. I think it'd be a good base for someones pre '70 project.
Below: The humble rat DT1f sits with some of the Tanner collection.
