Yes. Facebook and similar "forums" are full of incorrect and abusive comment. Ozvmx and other true forums are a great place for correct information and " friendly banter etc. I check in regularly and like to think I only add "useful" information etc.

I had one on FB recently when I posted the YZ clutch basket I made. The guy asked some sort of question about using CNC machine to make a power valve using all sorts of abbreviations but expected me to know what a 98 YZ250 power valve looked like. When I questioned him he got rather abusive.
Definitely more friendly here and helpful.
John I'll dig out the RM M piston soon and get that dimension for you.

The other thing is: The information tends to be available and easier to find.
Some common subjects can end up as “Sticky’s” - especially subjects for newcomers (AKA “commonly asked questions)
If you remember seeing the size of a certain Suzuki RM piston, years latter you could probably find it. (Search the Suzuki subsection)

Facebook is horrible for this.
