Hi all, I’m a new member here; I’m just really got back into dirt bikes after many years absence. Although, I’ve had my 1981 GSX1100 for many years + my first bike - a 1976 XR75 in sad unrestored condition. So, as with many over covid I restored the xr75 then tool on a 1980 DR400 - which I’ve slowly got together. I also purchased a run down but complete YZ465 and also started on that - The basket case worked along with the others.
I did a vinduro on the DR and found it way too heavy and turfed me off so many times I lost count. The RM400 swingarm and Disc front emd were too heavy. I finished the YZ with rebuilt motor and everything that was dated replaced, frame damage fixed etc etc… what an animal of a bike! Bit too much maybe for vinduro so picked up an IT175 - this is my current build.
The. DR400 is on the market to sell. Sort of running out of room.
