TY headlight

can someone tell me if those TY headlights with the chrome grills, are they a 4 & 1/2 inch lens or 5 & 3/4 inch lens?

I measured my TY175B lens at 4 & 3/4" and the distance between the mounting flats on the shell is 145mm

i think that sounds like whats classed as a 5 & 3/4 then. are you familiar with a PE suzuki light from 78 onwards? they are a 4 and 1/2 so the yamaha  TY would be bigger than that?

im confident they are 5 & 3/4 light. are the rims hards to find?

i got it off the yamaha US website and punched it into speed and sports webite but comes up with nothing so im wondering if they dont have it or if that yamaha US site does not give out the full part number or quotes a different non genuine part number like the Bike Bandit website

just thought i would check a TT 500 parts book from www.tt500parts.com which i know use genuine correct numbers and its the same so i have got the correct number now

also http://www.nwvintagecycleparts.com dont have it

what other nos yamaha places are there?

I see second-hand ones for sale pretty frequently on eBay

I know mine are original because one of them came with the bike from new.
Would it help you if I posted up a picture of a TY rim with a ruler for scaling from?

In regards to the TY headlight, the lense on my TT500H measures four and three quarters in inches.I believe they are the same light as fitted to the TY.
