PVL ignition, too little or too much advance?
« on: April 01, 2019, 05:45:40 pm »
The instructions with the PVL ignition states that a 250 two-stroke usually runs between 1.8 to 2.3 mm BTDC ignition advance, my DT1 seems to like it retarded to 1.5mm BTDC for a little more top-end.

What are your thoughts & settings, could l be running too high compression?

Depends how many winds in the stator that determines how much advance and retard it has over the static timing you give it.  They are well past their use by date. Just be thankful you never bought the digital
