Thank you everyone for the info. The 73 Penton has been a long process. Used to ride one back in the day in sub juniors when Stephen Cramer and Skippy Parsons we’re racing them in A and B grade. Found a frame that had been heavily modified with an Aspes motor, 250 swing arm and forks. Found a motor and just about got everthing re engineered back to stock. Know the foibles of thegearbox but I was keen to have something a little bit different. A few mentioned Peston Petty guards might be a better option and that they are available in Oz. Can someone tell me who is the supplier of these.

Any decent bike shop should be retailing them. Paul at Discount in Coburg sold me a set and I also bought another set direct from Petty/Polisport out of the US.
If you love it, lube it.
