Not restored Not stuffed with Not mine.

Montesa Rapita
$7000 or more if your generous
Ask google if you dont know.about these bikes.

SFA were made and even less made it to oz and you will probably never see another.

Bike belongs to a mate of a mate who is selling off his fleet, He just sold a Metralla for over 8G and it wasnt as nice or as rare as this.Stupid low ball offers given the attention they deserve.

If your interested drop me a PM with your number so I can give them to my mate, He doesnt want everyone knowing where his bikes live which is understandable. Located on the Sunshine coast QLD.

Cheers.

Buy it walter, its a lovely bike.

Last weekend I heard  something spanish up the road and it had to be the monty as its the only spanish thing ive heard that didnt rattle. Super smooth and quiet
If i win lotto I would grab it but would have to buy a bigger shed as mine is full.. Seems the owner is into those american v twin noise making chrome thingies and wants a new one so he is moving is stock out of my mates garage to finance , I guess someone has to buy harleys.
I reckon he should drag it up the hill to CD and sell dribble bibs to the monty nuts.

No more buying from me ... well unless it has 3 pots.  Are the shrouds on the shocks purple from standard ?  It really sets it off  and looks great .

I noted the shrouds too and yes, stock colour. Think ive only seen painted shrouds on baby honda roadies before. Im told the bike is 100% original, cant remember the Ks or the year but Its low and i think 74/75.

I owned a King scorpion way back when, basically the same bike but more off road orientated and it was the same style just jade metallic green and the shocks had the colour coded shrouds.

Looks like Montessa's answer to the DT1.
If you love it, lube it.

I guess it was an attempt to grab trail bike market share back from the Japs, Even has an Autolube. They were a better bike than the japs of the time, decent suspension and a hell of a lot lighter with reasonable power.

I did exactly the same to my 69 H1 . While repainting the tank and covers , I made some period chrome shocks and handed the covers in to be painted as well in the same candy red. It is not standard , but everyone commented , Kawasaki should have done it like that from new .
