Will an 83 rear wheel fit into the earlier swingarm?

Yep, but make sure you get the right wheel to suit the frame/swing arm. If you have a WR frame make sure you get a WR rear wheel (non floating brake). WR & CR hubs are different & backing plates won't interchange. The easiest way to ID a CR hub is that the steel ring sits proud of the hub & locates the floating backing plate. If it's fro the frame you got from Me, you definitely need a WR rear wheel.

Thanks Mick.
Can you weld the tab on the frame to use the full floating CR wheel if needed?

Yep, pain in the A doing that though. You'll be able to find a WR wheel no problems, just probably form USA.

Yes I found a hub from the guy I am getting most of Auto stuff off , I will lace it up to an 18 as all the WR stuff is 17 and hard to get tires these days.
