Who got the 84 KX500 off facebook at the coast for $2400? wasn't me even thou I put sold on it within 1 minute of it being listed, pm'd him for his number, he said there was someone who contacted him after that was closer and he was on his way. I have held stuff for people for weeks after they have said sold, no honour at all, gumtree is just as bad.

The engine was just a shell wasnt it? Was that the one? No crank/piston/clutch etc?

Fb always has sellers that do that... advertise at a price - then sit back and take the highest offer regardless on who said they would take it.
I dare say it actually sold for more that the asking price. People are screaming for the 83-84 KX5's.

I've been "back-doored" like that a few times, so to speak ....  :o

I dont agree on that one....Even though im sure you had genuine intentions of buying it. In my eyes the bike aint sold till cash has changed hands. I hate it when people put sold on the FB listing. The seller decides when the bike is sold, iv had people write sold on my post then waste my time jeopardising my chance for a genuine sale. You just missed out fare n square...

Check with your forum rules, I asked for his number straight away, and called him with in minutes, don't think so, then he starts the bidding.
