Suzuki PE ignition timing
« on: April 06, 2017, 07:07:00 am »
Good evening all, I have a PE 175T and a 400 and a few spare CDI boxes with no part number showing. Does anyone know the different timing specs as the only way I can see of sorting them is to run them and check with a timing light. The 175 seems to be a mix and match of parts, the magneto it came with made a good spark but was approx. 90° out? A visually identical replacement has the correct timing. Further investigation shows the magnets on the 90° one out in backwards? as in N/S instead of S/N ( checked with a compass). Any help appreciated .

Move the flywheel 90 deg on the crank.............................no the keyway is there for ease of assembly at the factory it does not hold the flywheel in position on the crank
