tc185 rh crank seal/bearing
« on: November 14, 2016, 07:38:17 pm »
my tc185 has hit a brick wall are far as getting essential parts to put it back together again so any leads as to where I could find a r/hand crank seal part number 09289-40002 its a 40x72x8.8 double lipped seal which bearing shops don't have but might be able to get some 40x72x4.5 single lip seals made that I could use back to back. another idea is use a Suzuki seal from an different model with reduced O.D and 40mm centre 8.8 width and make an sleve/bush to work with reduced O.D.
the other part made of unobtainium is a r/hand side outer crank bearing part number 09262-30025 that's pinned to stop it rotating in the cases though an normal bearing could be used with some 608 Loctite if I cant get 1

Bearing is a modded 6206

I wonder what happens when you search that number on the bearing with those letters on the end?

Need to go by part number. That seal may also fit TS 400. Here is anothere one where you actualy see the numbers. Suzuki part no. is  09289-40004     http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-77-1977-TS400-400-Apachie-Right-Side-Crank-Seal-09289-40004-L-TS-400-/301704698511

alphasports list ts400/rm370/400 r/hand crank seals as 38.8x72x11 and that last seal looks aftermarket and they sometimes balls the sizing up and the gen part number that the sizing should match
