Simons Anti-Cavitation Forks?
« on: July 30, 2016, 09:34:19 am »
I finally got around to dropping the old oil out of my forks and giving them a freshen up on my1985YZ250N.

Internally they don't look like any of the fork types shown in the manual. The springs are shorter than those for the N but the right length for the S. There are no spacers and the springs sit about an inch out of the tube without the caps on, which again matches none of the fork types shown in the manual.

There is a Simons Anti-Cavitation Forks sticker on one of the legs that looks about 30 years old so I am guessing that at some stage it had one of these kits put in it. Having trouble finding information on these kits. Does anyone have any leads?

Can I just put fresh oil in there and good to go? Everything else seems fine, seals etc. are all good.
