G.E.M reeds
« on: August 07, 2014, 07:05:47 pm »
Just arrived home from the gold coast to find a G.E.M reed assembly waiting for me, what are peoples experiences with them & any tips on jetting setup etc.
I know I'll need to cut a couple of holes in the piston for it to work properly & will get a new genuine piston to do that to

Been a long time since I got the GEM reed & progress has been pretty slow.
I now have the header pipe & a jet kit from CR Highperformance for his reed conversion along with a drawing of the windows he puts in, unfortunately it was missing some dimensions so I had to take an educated guess & ended up making them in the centre of the ports. I wasn't going to put the long window in originally but when it was set up the choice was made for me
The cylinder is having the exhaust port bored out & a new sleeve fitted to mount the header pipe.
I'm hoping to get it all fitted in the next few weeks while also having to make a trip to get a 360 sidepipe's suspension set up by the Ohlins importer before I collect it from the owner for me to use in the coming season
