Bernie Schreiber??

When did Bernie Schreiber come out to Oz?  And did he do a trials school or something?

I've got a box of slides I haven't looked at yet labelled "Schreiber school" in the middle of boxes of late 70's/early 80's MX and Road Racing slides....

Like I said, haven't looked at them yet - the label on the box may bear no resemblance to the slides actually inside though...   ::)

he did come to sydney in the early 80"s and did some schools at menai.i have some vhs footage of him doing a wheelie up the clay pits road with no forks or wheel on i think a swm?

I'm sure he did a school at Brookfield in the early '80s.

There was a bloke in the UK selling copies about 2 years ago. They were "seconds" with imperfect colours on the covers. I bought one copy at the time. I don't remember who it was selling them but if you post on trials central you will probably find out.

yup, looked at them - Bernie Schreiber and some local trials guys (Goff etc.)..  All appear to be on single shock bikes, so early-mid 80's??

Bernie's on a Honda 4 stroke trials bike (painted red-white-blue).

Also a few photos of Gregg Hansford and John Titman doing some sort of celebrity arena trials thing??

Can't scan them at the moment though - my home computer shit itself last night...   :'(

Funny you should mention Bernie Schreiber now, as a mate who bought my old Italjet way back then just told me just the other day he went to see Bernie at either Galston Gorge or Pacific Park (he thinks) in Sydney.
He signed the mate's petrol tank (which duly faded off) and did do the no front wheel & forks wheelstand for the assembled crowd.
