Wiseco piston rings

Gents - was supplied a set of 2756CD rings with my piston kit - for a 1980 Honda CR250 chrome bore.  But wiseco site says I need 2756CDM but then doesn't list them as a part?  is the 2756CD and CDM the same???

Are the rings chrome faced? Chrome bore rings are just cast iron seem to remember the OEM box has green lettering or such on it. Never seen uncoated Wiseco rings before

Not the same. The CD rings are chrome faced alloy steel and the CDM or CSM are nodular iron. The D means dual set and the S means single ring set.
You will need the nodular iron rings if you still have the original chrome bore. If it has been nikasil plated or cast iron sleeved you can use the chrome faced rings that come with the piston.

Just had aquick look and the CDM rings are all over Ebay.

You need to order CDM rings as well as the piston kit if you have an original chrome bore. CD rings are fine for Nicasil but not the old chrome bores. Don't be tempted to use the CD's in your chrome bore or you will be hearing the words I told you so......
