Swap meets
« on: January 21, 2016, 08:21:45 pm »
Hi all,
I thinking of going to a few swap meets this year, any recommendations. I am in the Newcastle area so Cessnock and Maitland are goers. Looking at Qld, NSW & Vic areas only. Also I am not interested in the bric-a-bac crap that some swap meets have. Thanks

If you are gonna come down to Vico all the way from Newcastle then the Ballarat swap is a must, It's bloody huge with it's own bike section 8), Bring a treadly to get around quicker ;)

I have had a stall at the Toowoomba swap for 10 years, but lots of brick a brack, but you never know what is going to be there. You get thrown out for riding around on bikes, pushbike or other.

Show and shine and swap meet at Wonthaggi Rec Reserve (Vic) tomorrow (Jan 24). No idea what this event is like, but flyer mentions motorbikes.

Gates open 8am, $5 entry.

Bendigo national meet in November is pretty big but lots of "new" stuff showing up. last year though, ive never seen so many v8 manifolds and carbys. the year before there was very little. I got a quaddy for $30 and its a ripper. turfed the holley and everything is sweet under the lid

That's absurd. What's this country coming to. I've been to bike swaps in the U.S. and blokes have V8 powered swap buggies to get around in. And that's supposed to be the land of litigation.

The other day I wasn't allowed into a theater because I had a cup of coffee. (With a lid on it) I said my little kids are in there with open slushies and popcorn. No dice, because my drink was hot.

Back on topic. Gatton swap meet. Although it might be called Laidley now because of the venue change.
