Pretty sure that 125 & 500 are the same, 125 just a bit thinner foam.

Are you positive the 125 seat is thinner Johnny ? You are a Honda guy and would know better than me. I remember something from back in the day where the 125 seat was taller . It stood out to me back then because I thought the 125 seat should be lower. I am probably wrong

Nah I'm pretty sure the 125 seat was thinner, I remember thinking back-in-the-day, "that would be right, smaller kids rode a 125 an would need a thinner seat".

I think it came to my attention because somewhere it was printed (brochure, parts list) that it was a thinner option for the 250/500.

John is correct, in that era the 125's did indeed have a smaller seat, being a short arse i run a 125 seat on my 1986 CR250RG and its significantly lower. in fact i may put it on my 500 now the 250 is a home for spiders.
