Clutch adjustment

Just completed a full rebuild on my 75 mx250 now when I try to put it in gear its very hard and grinds the clutch seams to be working ok please help

Hey Steve  :-)

Could you have a bent clutch plate, or two, causing it to 'drag'?  Could the oil be too thick?  I use a 10wt motor-oil in old 2-stroke gearboxes.

grinding didn't sound good [as in serious but not clutch sort of thing], now we need [want] to know what you found?, good it's sorted though. Had one of those brand new [MX250B 1975] one of the best most solid & reliable bikes i ever had. New piston every so often [original yamaha pistons in those were a 'very' solid piston & meaty around the inside of the cutaway to give it strength.

Clutch pressure plate wasn't seated properly I reseated it and all seems ok
