There you go, John

1974 SUZUKI TS400

Engine Number TS400-25794

Original blue / orange colour.

Bike in original condition with 349 miles on odometer.

Barn find from 2 years ago, bike was running when purchased but has not been run since. Bike bought to refurbish but not enough time to take on project.

Parts - all parts are NOS (New Old Stock) sourced from mainly US as shown in photographs.  Can supply details.  Parts come with bike, not sold separately.

History;

My husband purchased the bike about two & a half years ago to restore but simply does not have the time to undertake the project.

The person he bought the bike from in NSW is the son of the guy who had the bike for almost 40 years.  The father used to own a truck repair company in Liverpool (Sydney western suburbs) in the 70’s.  He apparently repaired a truck for a guy who was unable to pay his bill so the guy offered the Suzuki as payment as he had just bought it new.  The father agreed & planned to use it, but after he rode it thought it was too powerful & stored it in his storage shed and that is where it stayed.  The son remembers the bike as a kid kept under a tarp at his father's workshop. The son said after his father died (about three years ago) it was up to him to clean out the old workshop etc and came across this and other bikes, cars.  The bike is an Australian model.

It does look like it has been under a tarp for almost 40 years. My husband believes the guy was quite genuine about the bike's story as the tyres are original and look in great condition. When my husband bought the bike he put new fuel in it, gave it a clean and it started ok (that was two years ago).

The parts as photographed have been purchased by my husband over the past years from eBay (new old stock) NOS, mainly from the USA with an approximate total cost of $1000 (AUS).

The only thing the bike is missing is the rear tail light (which I have a NOS one from the US), mirrors and the side tool box cover.  The mirrors & tool box cover do come up on eBay occasionally.

The bike would be a great buy for anyone who is looking for a restoration project or simply loves the bike as is.  The bike is now 40 years old and rare.

Overseas inquiries welcome, additional pictures can be provided if required.

Happy to help with loading etc. Bike located in suburb of Gymea Bay 2227, New South Wales, Australia.

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

I have seen the Orange Ts 400 in the flesh and it's pretty average. The blue one like new and I reckon the reserve will be around 6k .
