Pursang MK15 numbers
« on: January 04, 2013, 08:46:31 pm »
At last we know.

"There is three 250cc, one 125cc and one 420cc, in total 5 Pursang MK15"

From: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3539887316428&set=p.3539887316428&type=1&theater

And who might be giving the MK15 a good look over?

You're telling porkies there David. They aren't Mk15's (Mk 15's had a RHS kickstart)

Dave, they're MK11's or Mk12's dressed up to look like Mk15s

An interesting modification on that bike. The front wheel & brake appear to be off a Montesa VG414 with the assemetric brake. Not a bad brake and works well but the wheel is a little heavy.

I have been corresponding with the owner/builder of this bike for a couple of years and we recently received the photos, with the text to come.  It will be in VMX Magazine in the next issue or two.

Great article there Ken. I thought that it was an interesting and great looking special until I saw the right hand side. Then I was blown away.

To resurrect a dead thread.

Yrjo's just returned from a visit to Spain where he quizzed Oriel on the MK 15 production numbers. The figures I quoted at the start of this thread are correct (give or take 1 or 2).
