Thanks to the Firies-Again!
« on: January 05, 2015, 11:17:11 PM »
Once again we see parts of the country devastated by Bush Fires, bringing unbelievable loss to so many Australians, and as usual the Volunteer Fire Brigade members drop every thing to help.
These people are unbelievable, coming from all walks of life, they give their time and effort to help others in dire peril. We all see the news reports of amazing saves and tragic losses during these times.

Never be afraid to offer to help, many Brigades have only a few members, even if you just say thank you to your local volunteers,as many are called upon to travel to areas far from home to help.
Think about becoming a volunteer, you will recieive training that will help in many emergencies, involved in Fire Fighting, but also in your everyday life.

Most Brigades need to raise funds to assist in their operations(trucks and equipment are supplied)and a good way to assist is to get them involved in your events, and make a donation to them. All Trucks have First Aid Kits and crews have up to date First Aid Training(some have defribulaters), and with many 100's or 1000's of litres of fuel at Motorcycle events having a Brigade Truck on site makes a lot of sense.

Once again Thank you to ALL! Volunteers,Firies,SES,Helicopter Rescue etc, etc.
If you are not living on the Edge, you are taking up to much Space!!

They are dead set legends. It makes sense to have them at race meetings because of the inherent risks involved in our sport. The bonus is that you get a water tanker as well.....And they get to raise some much needed funds.
Arrogance.....A way of life for the those that having nothing further to learn.
