Can't talk with authority on the 465s, but the IT250J shock has a longer spacer in it that shortens the total shock length (and limits travel) compared to a YZ250G shock.
FWIW, The IT175H shock is the same basic thing again, but with an even longer spacer.

The spacer is easy to shorten down when the shock is apart, but I can't give you any useful measurements.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

I just had my spacer under the piston  removed from the IT 465 shock its about 12-13mm long which equates to about an inch of wheel travel. I also had the collar which holds the piston above it machined, which gets another 6mm piston travel or half an inch wheel travel. Now I got aprox 12,5 inches. I also had a late model piston fitted but it has been very difficult to achieve the correct compression damping. I prefer very little comp damping to allow the wheel to rise up quick on brake bumps and square edged holes. Its pretty good now but could do with a little less comp damping still. Its taken 3 adjustments (opening shock and removing shims etc) to get it where it is now. One more time and i recon i will have a good valving setup, then I want to get a progressive spring wound so that the first half is plush and compliant and the second half is stiffer for the bigger jumps.

heavilly modified yz450 piston, but its action is not much better than the stock 1981 one, untill I get that last bit of comp damping out.
