81 and 82 KX80 differences
« on: July 23, 2014, 11:59:43 AM »
I'm looking to revisit my childhood and get a bike the same as my first bike  :D

Are there any major differences between the 81 and 82 KX80?a  From memory the 81 is a C1 and 82 a C2?

as far as I know is the air box cover as a hole in it on the 82, the bottom triple tree bolts face out to the right and left instead of forward like any other bike on the 81, I could be wrong but this is as far as know of the changes. building a 80 D2 at the moment so I've done a lot of research on this and its all I can find.

A couple of differences that I can remember were longer travel forks and different shock on the D2 and the rear mudguard/numberplate combo on the D2 flared out on the right hand side to clear crap blowing out of the muffler. The mudguard/numberplate on my D1 went straight down. Probably other differences as well, but they are the main ones I recall.
