Newbie from SE Qld

G'Day!!
Thought I should join. Now I've done that I thought I'd do the intro thing.

Members of other bike forums may already know me.

From Goondiwindi, Qld. Originally from Bourke (Tye Simmons Country).

I have been riding/racing for over 30 years and I currently have a 2010 yz250. I mainly ride single trail stuff and do the Dalby Moto trail rides. I am also Vice President of the local Motocross Club but I do prefer the ST.

I also do Northern Inland Pony Express series (NSW).

Other racing achievements are.
Hattah desert race 2011.
Finke desert race 2012 and 2014.

I'm pretty keen to get into VMX now. Always loved the yz490s but never even ridden one. My next adventure is to get one and do a resto. Then Race it at Finke and aim to finish in the top 50% of entrants.

Welcome, very nice line up, jump onto QVMX website when you get the chance and you should see a few 490's in the photos .

I'm also Vice President of the Goondiwindi MCC.
The track is MA affiliated but we only hold practice days. We maybe interested in loaning the track out if anyone wanted to hold a club day. Also happy to open the track up for anyone to practice.
