84 CR 250
« on: November 01, 2014, 11:31:00 am »
I just bought a cheap barn fresh CR 250 RE 84 model , its coming down from NSW soon and looks ok.
I am sure it will need a full resto but looks very unmolested and it didn't cost much .
Anyone an expert on these and can tell me how to make it work best , I hear about w/pump trouble , poor forks and shock , dodgy ATAC systems etc any pointers would be great , cheers Tim
ps pics to follow

Tim, I've got an 87 CR125 project. All the real money spent (new rod kit, new barrel, rebuilt shock, etc etc), needs cosmetics and reassembly - and it's entirely passable cosmetically now.

Send me a PM if you're interested.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
