83 PE175 tidy up
« on: September 18, 2014, 05:38:16 pm »
Had this for over 12 months and never touched it, got keen and fixed up the stripped head studs and got it running, then got carried away. Las owner was building it for vmx, what a mess, a lot of it was fixing up the previous owners poor workmanship the rest was the usual old age. Had to make one good chamber out of 2 and make a new muffler, shocks were leaking, axles bent it even had a bearing and spacer missing from the rear wheel and the owner was using it like that.  Used the best second hand cables I had, painted most of the aluminium because the previous owner had wire brushed it to bits, it had to be a budget build or not at all total cost including the bike is $1200.IMG_1578_zps79f6b5b7.jpg[/IMG]

Frame was painted flat black with an aerosol can over the compliance plate, engine mounts the coil and any thing else in the way.

Just outside Toowoomba QLD, just picked up a new sprocket cover, just need to get some stickers and I will call it done.
