Yamaha IT250 - 1984 ???
« on: September 10, 2014, 10:39:04 am »
Hi guys, what do you think of an IT250 for social VMX riding?
I'm struggling to find a suitable RM over here in NZ, but there is a real nice IT for sale...

There has been a PE run at the front of the evo classes previously in the north island series so I see no problems with using an IT in pre86, from memory Jono Hooker runs a 175 in the same class & has as much fun as anyone else

the 84 is a good jigger. bit of tweaking and they run good, the suspension is easily altered for vmx or kept std for vinnies... good choice

Not all the Yammys and Huskys at Heaven are CR's and YZ's. Plenty of XC Husky and IT Yamaha. At the pointy end also. In today's world a IT 250 can be even better than a stock YZ if you set it up properly. Buy the IT, spend some coin on decent suspension upgrades and toot your horn when you pass your buddies ;D
