Is nitrous allowed???  ???       No only acetylene as it was discovered first therefore it suits older bikes The twit nearly tried it !!!!!!!!!!!
Can I race my Honda AGI trike with da sidecars???   ???            Might I ask where you purpose to put the swinger?
Cos its old shitter racen I donts has ta wear a elmet on me hed doeses I ??? ???        Race without one it not going cause any more damage..
Is women allowed to race VMX? You know they got tits and monthly stuff and might have a kid... ???        Yes they are, and by the way do you know what a forking cretin is...
Is racing VMX worth all the expense, or should I go take a cheaper alternative like Road Racing??? ???         Do you believe the Tooth fairy stories too?...
Those old sidecars would be so piss easy to ride , Ya like to gimme a go I will go easy on it ???                  Anybody can "have a go " except people that say it would be "piss easy"
DO you get dirty racing??? ???                   No as the stewards sweep the track after each event.....
Can my kid race his old 96 Kawasaki 80 in VMX???  ???                Asked that today....

Please add you brain busters     ,Tim

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

how 'bout this one..

'what the heck are you doing with all the old bikes! You should sell them off before they are worth nothing and you get stuck with them!!'

:o really!  ::) how terrible I should get stuck with them after buying bits and pieces from all over the planet for years so I could assemble them! He was serious! but then he's only about 20ish and rides a late model Yam DT230 or 240 or whatever..figure someday he'll see the logic but I couldn't be bothered explaining right now  :D :D :D

Same rider a few weeks later,

'f*ck! what gear were you in when you wheelstanded past me!

:D we'd just finished having a little drag race up the road, the 400 didn't really clear itself out till I pulled 3rd and then it was cya later as I whipped past him  ;D funny thing, I had a ride (thrash) on his DT a little later and after this ride I realized if the young guy had of been a more experienced rider and screwed the neck on the DT a little harder then there's a really good chance he would have shut down the ol' RM400 but I was not about to draw attention to this little fact ;)

..."So if I understand correctly, the motors on the Vintage bikes are just as powerful as the modern bikes...but the brakes and suspension are worse?... Why would you do that?!"
"Whadaya mean it's too loud?! It's a f*ckin' race bike!! That pipe makes it go louder - and look faster!!"

I asked myself the same question Wombat  :D :D if you really need to know it was because us old blokes lived back in the day when men were men and sheep were nervous! :P We liked to do things rough and tough!  Baked beans around the fire, 4 inches suspension travel, pathetic brakes, a bike with an absurd amount of power, shares in Johnson & Johnson, it was just the done thing and like bumholes everyone had one and needed one! :-X Good for sorting out the pansies who then left to the more peaceful sport of checkers and draughts ::) jeez our fore fathers were even tougher than us!  They absolutely stipulated their bikes to have nothing less than rigid frames! :o ah the good ol' days..I guess your right, why would you do that! ::)

My posted quote came from my mate Theo when I mentioned my resurrected interest in dirt bikes.

He of the $15k racing bicycle used on sunday mornings amongst like-minded well to do rich folk in the Park Road Milton Cafe set. The shaved legs and shaved arms and the massive calf muscles and the lycra racing pants and matching shirt of a thousand sponsors!!
I'm sure every City has these guys... and don't even think about sitting at their table if you're riding a Malvern Star or a Huffy!
I don't mean to be harsh - he's a good mate and it was said as good natured banter.

oldfarts comment on the "What's that extra lever?"  "It's a kick starter" pretty much sums up the great divide, ay?
"Whadaya mean it's too loud?! It's a f*ckin' race bike!! That pipe makes it go louder - and look faster!!"
