ACTMCC Rd 5 at Canberra
« on: August 02, 2007, 07:57:01 pm »
The ACT track is just brilliant these days, and with the club running both Over 35s and Evo Classics classes you can be sure of a great day's riding. On Sunday 12 August the club will be holding Round 5 of their 2007 competition.

Find out more at the club's site:

I wanna... But I've got no money, am sulking about the 84 YZ125 being broken, will be recovering from the rally on Saturday, etc.

See you at CRC?
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

ah but you missed a great day's racing nathan.  great weather, and a good field of six or seven pre 85 bikes made for good racing all day, in the pre 85 class and over 35s.  we were even making so much noise crapping on in our deck chairs (wheelchairs?) under bill's quickshade someone even came over to take photos of us - we're the mad old farts who not just still race but actually socialise with each other between races instead of shine the new bling bike ready for the all-important start line parade.  who else laughs on race days???

so that was a good warm up for crc....for those that can get leave passes (or who don't even have to bother with such sad metaphors...).  that means bill, mark and dennis.  as consolation, graeme and i will do the cooma colington grasstrack this sunday instead.

i'm saving my 'leave pass' gunpowder for the two day canberra heaven round plus the clarence lithgow two day gig.

have fun tho nath - don't let dennis lead you too astray (i'm talking off-track of course) - and catch you at fairbairn in sept for some local heaven action.

These boys are gonna be guns come the HEAVEN gig. I dropped by and watched one of their races and bugger me if they aren't starting to look like real racers. In fact, they were mixed in with the Open class (450F etc), and OK, there were only half a dozen or so of them, but our boys were right amongst it. And Krafty led them all for a whole lap on his mighty 84 YZ250.  Tell you what, any of you blokes out there near Canberra with a Pre 85/Evo bike really should come along to a few ACT clubdays. It's bloody good fun!

Yea it was a good day  and now thay dont give out ribbins any more .
ACT.M.C.C now are handing out trophys.

Yes they are all taking about karfy leading the 450cc/pre 85 race for 3/4 of a lap.and all of the pre 85 guys all runnig in the top harf of the pack in the over 35s .
Yes we do need more guys to keep it going .
Other wise we mite have to go Pre 90 .
and I dont want that. I think that pre 90 is the same a pre 2007 .

Yeah, have to agree. Running in with the modern bikes carries a lot more cred on a pr85/evo bike than it does on a pre-90 bike .Probably because pre-85 and Evo bikes LOOK old and must give some of those on modern bikes cause for thought. Great to see.
