Favorite Songs
« on: July 24, 2014, 10:44:51 pm »

Just finished burning a cd to play in the shed and a copy for the van.  It's pretty quite on here tonight so I thought might as well put on the songs I recorded, these are some of my favorite tunes.  Some you might like and some you probably hate, but thats the thing about music it doesn't matter what others think it's a personal thing.  My wife thinks that it's a well rounded mix of rock country etc but she still hates more than half of them.   Younger members might not have even heard of some of these but then it's unlikely that I would a fan of their favorites.

 Paranoid                                              Black Sabbath
Dirty Deeds                                           AC-DC
My Home Town                                     Bruce Springsteen
Jersey Girl                                             “            “
Tusk                                                    Fleetwood Mac
Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood              Animals
Hotel California                                    Eagles
When A Man Loves A Woman                Percy Sledge
Dirty Old Town                                    Pogues
Khe Sanh                                            Cold Chisel
Massachusetts                                    Bee Gees
Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain               Willie Nelson
In Your Time                                      Bob Seger
Darlin                                                Frankie Miller
This Magic Moment                             The Drifters
Don’t Pay The Ferryman                      Chris de Burgh
Bad To The Bone                                George Thorogood
Before The Next Teardrop Falls            Freddy Fender
California Blue                                   Roy Orbison
Midnight Special                                 Creedence

Any ideas for the next cd.
                                       Zane
Everyday I find one more name to add to the list of people who piss me off.

I like The Angels more than AC/DC not saying I don't like AC/DC though I have been thinking next time I go on the ferry near me I should say I won't pay not even fix a price till they get me to the other side.

I like some of Meatloafs songs Foreigner, Super tramp, Dire Straits, John Farnham

Got tone loc and vanilla ice on my ipod also and Jenny by Tommy Tutone don't mind Bon Jovi heaps of different stuff on my ipod mainly older I like Alice Cooper got all his stuff.

Not to many newer bands I am a fan of I like The Offspring, The Darkness and Three Doors Down

I usually don't have mix playlists I usually like to buy my favourite bands cd so if I can listen to every track that is the first two tapes I had as a young bloke The Angels Greatest hits and The Eagles Greatest hits.

ive been having a blues run with john mayer, stevie ray along with some Paul Young (with Pino Palladino)

check out the Rosenberg trio on u tube for some stunning guitar work, just amazing ....their music is not everyone's cuppa but the work rate is impressive.

also been getting into some early Yes clips as well and found a ripper version of "stay" by Bowie and Earl Slick live at the bbc

I like a lot of what I would call old rock.

Beatles
Rolling Stones
Easybeats
Billy Thorpe
Led Zepplin
AC/DC both Bon and Brian (Thunder Struck is my favourite)
Cream
Deep Purple
Pink Floyd
INXS
Creedance Clearwater Revival
Santana

One of my favourite songs is "Sunshine of Your Love" both versions (Cream and Santana/Rob Thomas).

I hate rap crap and techno.

All great suggestions, I'd add early Metallica and no compilation is complete without Billy Squire and "The Stroke"
