They were/are a great bike I've got 2000 wr 400 I brought new and only just done a full rebuild on the motor.
2000 Yamaha WR400f
1980 Suzuki RM250t
1977 Suzuki RM125b                                         
1975 Yamaha MX250b
1973 Yamaha mx360 (on the rebuild table)                                                               
1972 Yamaha dt1 250
1976 Suzuki ts 185

That's fantastic! Much nicer to look at than a term deposit. Of course it is collectable.

I remember the Sydney supercross in 1999? when a pre release YZ400F came out for a few demo laps, ridden by, I think Danny Ham. The sound of that thing how it just revved amazed everyone at the time.

I have a wr400 first model, never had the rocker cover of it, swapped a postie for it.  ;D ;)

Its a great practice rig for DT, but I get flogged in the 450 class, on the up side its a lot of fun trying to catch and kill!

I was there, didn't someone else do the yzf and Danny Ham was on a drz 400 trying to convince us that it was a mx bike, the this kept casing every jump he attempted on it, after two laps he parked it..

You're right, it wasn't Danny Ham on the YZF.
