The K to T model motors are definitely very closely related to each other.

What is the same is the crank casings from j to the t models and the crank from g or h through to the w models

The bore and stroke changed in 1983, g and h cranks are last of the short stroke motors in that family. Interesting enough, IT250K has the same bore and stroke dimensions as the watercooled YZ's yet externally looks very similar to G/H IT and YZs.
