Suzuki TS185
« on: May 09, 2014, 08:09:42 pm »
I am in need of a plastic left side (air box side) cover for my 1978 Suzuki TS185 restoration, can anybody help? My bike is red but any colour would do. I have a magneto/chain engine cover for a swap if needed.

Thanks, I saw the ones from overseas, the postage is the killer, I didn't want to pay $90 to $100 with postage. The yanks won't even use a USPS flat rate box, I asked. I hadn't found the one in Oz but you're right, it's very ordinary. There is another one in Taiwan cheaper than UK or USA but I was hoping to shop at home.

try Michael Hyett at Hyetts motorcycle wreckers in bridge st Bendigo. he has got all sorts of stuff. the big problem is his cataloguing system.... it goes like this.... " bring one in and ill see if I can match it...????

Did spot an orange 185 one last time I was there hassling Mick. I was looking for a TS100 cover.

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

its a special experience but there are "gems " in them  thar dark rooms yonder... a mate had bought a wr lc 400 husky a few years ago to do up and the bottom end was toast. lo and behold in the 3rd room on a dark shelf..... a 400 lc motor (owner probably still looking for it) all was well after the exchange of a few reddies

Got one, thanks for all the tips. I've bought a brand spankin new one from Thailand. Reasonable price and no dints, cracks, or scratches. By the way, I still have a spare magneto cover which is now for sale.
