Hagon Mechanical Disc.

I got new box of crap and sorting through it I found a Hagon Mechanical disc brake caliper. How rare/valuable/desireable/pricey are they?

Can you post a pic up mx?.
I also have a mechanical disc brake caliper with cable and disc. No idea what the hell its off. Cant see any brand on it.

A few Japanese small commuter bikes came out with cable-operated-mechanical-discs. I think a CB100/125 and one of the small Kawasaki's. It probably one of these you have.

I have never seen them on a dirt bike, large or small.

Firko reassures me the Hagon brake was useless and Jim says 'it got you through tech inspection'.

Honda Odyssey's also had a mechanical disk brake  set up.

these brakes were used on hagon frames in the late 70s.they used the rear drive sprocket as the disc.in dirt track you must have 1 operating brake.this made your bike as per gcrs.useless as tits on a bull.once you got dirt and chain lube on them they didnt work at all.

That's a Hagon and one very interesting chassis, but those brake calipers are hydraulic and probably Lockharts or Lockheeds (spg???).

Had one on a hagon maico I built in 1974. Keith Stacker bought a frame kit for me through Bert Flood and it was a standard item for that years model. As stated worked on a solid rear sprocket and it was more effective to drag a toe in the dirt than use the mechanical disc, but it did get you past scutineering. Value would be in its uniqueness, but anyone into racing would ditch it for something better.
