I use the new KTM two stroke setup's

Same here Mick. Current KTM Domino two stroke throttle. Far better than Gunnar Gassers, which I have plenty of.

Magura 314 or Gunnar Gasser are the best brand name aftermarket throttles out there. DO NOT be a cheap arse by buying the replicas of both that are all over the 'net. Make sure the Gassers have Made in Sweden cast on them and the Maguras 'Made in Germany'. I won't go into it again (search the forum for another thread on faulty copy gassers) but trust me, the replica Gassers are extremely dangerous and should be banned, I was nearly killed by one and many other racers have found their inherent fault the hard way. If I was a safety scrutineer I wouldn't pass them. The copy cat Magura 314 comes from the same Taiwanese factory so the chances of it being shoddy and dangerous are pretty high. As Mick and Ted also write, Domino (Tomaselli) are also pretty good. My bikes all have Maguras these days.

Mark, the KTM Domino 2T throttle is far better quality than the Gunnar Gasser, ( which I have had fail ) They also offer a far shorter action. Perfect for 125/250 bikes. I think they also can be ordered with different actions.

Point taken Ted, I forgot the Domino. At the risk of upsetting Davey Crockett, these (below) are the best quality throttles on the market.....they're machined from solid billet alloy, feature needle roller action and there is no plastic in them except for the clear top. You'd have to drive a D9 over one to break one. The thing that turns people away from them however is that they're made in China for pit bikes. I'm just saying what I've found, I've had them on my bikes with no problems but the flash anodized finish looks dumb on pre 70 bikes....the only reason I don't continue to use them. I don't really care to enter into another Chinese Shit discussion....buy what you're comfortable with.

I buy mine from my mate who happens to be a KTM dealer so I only pay a bit over cost. Dont quote me but I believe that the 2009 KTM 125 has the longest cable so easiest to route on VMX bike. There not cheap but there are some things I dont do cheap on. As I dont ride often enough ( like most ) I find a smooth light throttle gives less arm pump.
Current bikes. KTM MC 250 77 Husky CR 360 77, Husky 82 420 Auto Bitsa XR 200 project. Dont need a pickle just need to ride my motorcickle
