Many would remember the premature passing of Steve Dinsdale, a great Queensland Champion. In my time in Mackay only a few years back I came to know Steve with the reemergence of John Hands Gum Valley MX track. Steve while still riding moderns was a very strong supporter of VMX.
Unfortunately a week ago his son Joel who is an emerging top notch rider crashed his car while travelling south to an MX meeting. His mum on Facebook has relayed Joel is finally out of intensive care. Doctors are exploring issues with his back due to lack of movement down one side. His speech is restoring itself slowly and this adds to some broken bones in his leg and foot.
I'm sure all of the VMX community wish him well in his recovery!
