PFFFT credit ratings, I banked with one bunch of @#$%%^^&& for ten years borrowed money needlesly to get this magical credit rating, went to by a house $116K had 90 deposit and got knocked back because of self employment, had rented the same joint for 8 years and never missed a weeks rent, walked accross the road and the approved it on the spot on the basis that I had SAVED the 90 and had been renting for so long and then told me that for the most part if they relied on this rating they would be out of business.
If every one is a bad risk there will be a lot of businesses going broke by not giving credit.
