The Vintage Enduro Riders Incorporated (VERi ) committee have been hard at work securing the new course for this year’s Harrow Vinduro. VERi committee members Stephen Baker (President) and Rob Shoemark (Media & Promotion) travelled from NSW to Harrow in March to attend the billycart derby. While in town they inspected properties, negotiated with locals and assessed potential routes. They also took the opportunity to deliver some gates that VERi have donated to property owners to better facilitate the event.

As a result of this and other ongoing work, we are pleased to announce that we have had overwhelming support from the local land owners and we now have access to six properties, with another possible two more to come.

As most vintage enduro fans would be aware, this year will see a new format whereby all participating riders will need to be licensed, and all motorcycles must be road registered or have an appropriate permit. One day permits will need to be organised well in advance. More details are available on the VERi website.

This year’s event will also be a true ‘two day’ event. At this stage the plan is to run one lap on Saturday starting at 12pm, with the last bike out at 2pm. There’ll be a dinner in the hall at 7pm on Saturday night. On Sunday morning the riding will start at 8am sharp with the last bike out at 2pm and a presentation at 4.30pm.

The course will be quite different from previous years and will run from 60 to 100 kms long. There will be a fuel dump in place for those that require it.

As VERi President Stephen Baker explained, “For those of you that know Harrow we now have alternatives if the river becomes too deep. The course will be suited to all levels of riders, from beginner to experts.”

“Make sure you keep the last weekend in July free for what is going to be an awesome and completely new event,” added Rob Shoemark.

Stay tuned for more details, and keep checking the VERi website – www.verivinduro.com.au

Sounds like a big shift in the event!  :-\

I'm certain that the VERi crew will play the cards well, in any case.  :)
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
