Yeah spot on. It's a 465 frame as the 500's had the cushion lever mount further out on the frame.
Looks like another "bittza" ???

Doesn't the 83 500 have the same frame and top suspension lever as the 82 465 but the 83 has alloy struts? The 84 500 has a new different length top lever..

465/500 have different swingarms, struts and bell crank (top lever) and rear shock, frame for z and d appear same, 84 500 frame has different swingarm/bell crank and struts to the first two, also has different frame, similar but different gussetting, this one looks to have a set of 500 cases at least! $1000 special at best.....

I think only the 84 500 has a different swingarm, bell crank etc. 82 465 and 83 500 appear the same, just like the 82 and 83 250.. The 83 went to alloy struts

Hey JO, nope, definately different.  D swinger is about 15mm longer, bell crank has different ratio, struts mount in different position on D (further forward), different top out stop for the Z etc, suttle but better in every way for the D, the '84 (E?) is different again. I have a Z and a D 465/500 side by side in my cave at the moment, well z is in pieces but you get the idea!

For me i reckon the Z turned quicker but the D was better everwhere else, still didnt stop me getting hole shots on a 465Z against them though!

Oh, and similar differences on the 250s as well.
