Wood Rotax on vft.org
« on: January 09, 2014, 01:19:33 pm »
This bike comes out of Hugh Mackie's Sixth Street Specials in New York. Those of you who watch the cult show 'CafĂ© Racer' on Monday nights on the Turbo Channel http://www.caferacertv.com/ will be familiar with expat Scotsman Hugh Mackie and his Japanese sidekick Fumi Mataseuda and their cool little shop "Sixth Street Specials', one of New York's better British bike specialists. http://thevillager.com/2013/10/10/vintage-bike-shop-keeps-rolling-stays-true-to-its-roots/. As we saw in one episode, Hugh and Fumi are also pretty good flat track racers, Hugh being the current AHRMA division champion on his rigid framed BSA DB34 Goldstar. The Woods Rotax seems to be Hugh's personal bike going by the #703 so it'd be a good runner and it's a pretty good price for a Ron Wood Rotax.   http://www.vft.org/vftforsale2.html
