I never did understand the thinking of trying to sell big lots of bikes at the one time.
I guess you'd be wrapt if anyone actually bought them, but for $45k, I could have 10 very nice bikes ready to ride rather than a shed full of work to do.  ???

I was wondering if it was our Brooksie...  ???
If it makes any difference, he's a good bloke.

Nobody is going to fork out that sort of money on a mixed collection like that - few people understand the desire to "Sell the lot" as well as I do, but it just doesn't work... There's no question that the value is there - but selling them as a job lot assumes that you will find someone who wants all of those bikes and has the cash to spare and has that as his first spending priority.

Either he'll end up putting them back into the shed and forgetting about them, or they will end up being sold one-by-one.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

'PLEASE DON'T ASK TO SPLIT THEM UP OR ABOUT SELLING 1 OR 2 BIKES AS I WILL NOT REPLY'

Its a pity he's not open to sell individual bikes, they'd sell quite well 1 or 2 at a time.....

Way too much money if you average each bike out at $2200 per. They're all in need of work of some kind, much of it major restoration and once you've singled out the bikes you want (in my case, the Maicos) you'd have the tedious job of selling off the rest.  You'd eventually flog 'em off on eBay or Gumtree but you'd be pretty tired of it all by the end.

Methinks Brooksie would love to sell the as a job lot but knows quite well he's pretty much got Buckley's chance of selling them that way and is probably just doing a little pre Christmas speculating and letting the market know that they'll eventually be coming up individually.
