Contemplating selling 250 MC5 as basket case
« on: November 26, 2013, 05:21:26 pm »
I am contemplating selling my 1978 KTM 250 MC5 as it seems to be taking forever and it would help finance other projects. Im am undecided still undecided at this stage but thought I would gauge interest. I will most likely be out of pocket which depending on the amount may sway my decision. Bike is as follows:

Motor is in pieces I have new piston/sleeve/conrod/main bearings to go in (no ignition) and a spare set of gears.
Frame painted with swing arm fitted, new bushes.
Tank original fibreglass, freshly painted. I have decals but not fitted.
Seat - needs recovering - not sure if it is correct one :-\
Wheels - should clean up fine/ one spare rim.
NOS fibreglass side covers
Bing Carby with original airbox, i also have a highpoint which needs the flange where carby boot goes on extended/fixed.
Forks look good but are 35mm instead of 38mm
Shocks - I have a set of fox gas shocks at 14in that I was going to rebuild but they may be a little lite.

Not sure what its worth or what I want for it but open to offers and ill decide from there.

Cheers
