Crank Boss
« on: October 17, 2013, 09:36:03 pm »
Mr Geoff (GMC) - has helped me out with some alternatives but can anyone tell me if an SC500 crank boss fits a YZ360 - it also fits the Dt250/360 by the way so hoping I can.

cheers and ta

Glad your still with us you old fart, I was stupidly thinking of you re; the plane crash.
Now that I know your okay I can say that helping you must have been a momentary lapse of reason ;D

PS Is the 500 the same stroke as the 360?

apart from the first 3 numbers they are the same 360 = 431-15621-00 mx 250\360, 363-15621-00 sc500 same as 250 and 360 mx so at a guesstimate I would say same part . Iain

well unfortunately there are some differences - probably not surprising actually.  It appears the shaft from the kick boss that the kick crank goes onto on the YZB model is a lot narrower.  Splines and everything match so not too much of a drama I will just try and machine down the ones I have to match the YZB kickstarter and I should be away.  Everything else I needed - springs, circlips, washers and balls all readily available so should be like new when finished  ;D

thanks
