'87 Can Am 406 on Swapmeet
« on: November 24, 2013, 12:36:32 pm »
I've been thinking about buying this all morning but I really don't need it and I'd be going against my newly instigated austerity campaign ::). It'd make a great pre 90 open classer or if fitted with lights a great Vinduro mount (Just bullshit that it's an '84 model, nobody will pick it...honest 8)) These are very underrated bikes and no matter how rooted the engine might or might not be, a steal at $250.

There is something strangely appealing about this bike!

Yeah my thoughts too. the tank shape looks a little odd, wonder if its the original?

Yep it's all original, the low sides of the tank would be to get the fuel as low down to lower the centre of gravity I'd assume. The 406 Rotax or any Rotax engine for that matter, is a good thing. The flat track guys get some serious horsepower from the 250 so I can assume the same ideas flow over. Hey Scungey, your bro will disown you for even looking at something other than a Suzuki :).
Here's a 250 but you get the drift.
