cz 380 engine

hi , just wondering if there are any cz 380 4 speed engines around for sale , I have a 71 cz 380 but at some stage during its life someone has fitted a 250 4 speed to it .
would like to see it with a 380 in it again some day

I would have thought that they would be the same .

125 , 250 and 380 cases are different , where the sleeve fits into the cases  ,so I am told

External cases (ignition & clutch) are the same but the centre cases are different, clutch is common to all sizes but the gearboxes differs in ratios.
The centre cases having the same outside sizes but smaller holes for the crank & cylinder sleeve is probably part of the reason that the 125 weighs almost as much as the 380
380 stuff seems to be the hardest to find for sale, 250 stuff is easiest especially the 5 speed motors

keep your eye on US ebay,complete engines sometimes come up and shipping is not as big a deal as it used to be (you gotta win it first though).A couple of years ago I won a 360 engine for $395 US,had been used for dirttrack.Got it back here,original piston(sloppy),tight bigend,smooth gearbox,and gaskets made from newspaper.Orig twin spark points ignition,did the barrel for a 1st over piston she's been going great ever since .If you find a big one I'll take the 250 off your hands;I reckon they are a great engine

I have still got 380 barrel and pistons new 2off plus  rings old 4 speed box a little rusty it might clean up

when you say a 4 speed box is that gears only or does it include cases ? do you know what size the bore is eg 0.25 , 0.50 etc
