That "Linkage" looks EXACTLY the same as the one fitted to the 87/88 WR 400 Husky in my shed.

my 87 has a central horizontal link with the shock mounted up and out of the way. ? 85 or 86 maybe looks the same? I know thet have more links.

There's still the boutique brands: Gasser, Beta, TM. I admire KTM for the way they recovered from their bankruptcy in 92'ish and since gone from strength to strength and, as somebody else mentioned, Husky were probably going to go tits up in the next few years anyway. I just hope that Pierer lets Husky return to its Swedish roots. The launch of the '14's in Sweden was a nice touch.

Linkage rears are far more tolerant of poor setup than PDS. A properly sorted PDS is as good as a properly sorted linkage rear - but the performance of the PDS falls away more dramatically when the set-up is compromised.
Where a well set up linkage rear will still work very well with a rider 5kg heavier or lighter than the optimum, PDS starts getting uncooperative.

The other thing is that once you've got the telescopic needle, bladder, etc etc, a lot of the PDS' benefits (simplicity/ease of manufacture/etc) are minimised.

I luv the pds system, so easy to work on and nothing to go wrong, Nathans right about set up, although more so in an MX setting than in the bush.
